About Us
Tumbling Tunes opened in 2008 to serve the Northport, East Northport, Greenlawn, Centerport, Huntington, and surrounding communities as a welcoming and nurturing environment for young children’s recreation.
We specialize in music, movement and gymnastics classes as well as parties, camp, pre-school, drop - off/open play, parent’s night out, and events.
The owner and founder, Kerry Anastasi (a local mom herself, to three very active kids) has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Bachelors in Musical Theater and over 15 years teaching and practicing gymnastics. Kerry and her staff thoroughly love children and the art of education.

Every week there is something new planned and each and every project is well thought out and so exciting to my 4 year old. She looks forward to the class and loves to bring home the projects and display them in her room!

“Having both a music and gymnastics part of the class works well. The songs are catchy, informational, encouraging and the perfect length to get the toddlers excited to join in on all of the fun.
The gym time is always fun and exciting for allowing the children to explore the various areas in the classroom. Miss Kerry changes up the configuration of the room every few weeks and keeps the kids climbing, exploring, and flipping all over the place. Our sons personal favorite is the big trampoline, and the rings.
We also love how the class finishes, with some bubbles, the parachute, and a song. We recommend you taking a class and seeing just how much fun it is!”
“I am so grateful we found Tumbling Tunes and this music class! It has been a great introduction for socializing with other babies. Kerry is absolutely wonderful. She pays attention to each child’s queues to ensure they are getting the most out of class at their own pace.
I can always count on my son exploring a new kind of sound or instrument. The class includes a portion which encourages movement using a parachute, tunnel and smaller climbing mats. My son lights up every time we walk into class.”
“My son attended Active Kids pre school for 2 years. From the age of 3-5 years old. He absolutely loved his school. We tried a couple of other programs, however nothing compared to his excitement with all the teachers at Active Kids. The program is a perfect combination of classroom , gym and art studio all in one day!
The ongoing joke all the parents share is that no matter what school our children moved on to .. nothing compared to their love of Active Kids! If Kerry added an upper class, she would have a large group of kids ready to come back in a heart beat!!
